Bilbao, Spain | April 2026
The European project PULSE (Promoting Unique Learning Strategies in Entrepreneurship) has officially launched its Capacity Building and Study Visit in Bilbao, taking place from 20 to 24 April 2026.
Hosted by Calasanz Santurtzi VET School, the event brings together international partners, educators, and experts in vocational education and training (VET) to exchange knowledge, explore innovative methodologies, and strengthen cooperation in entrepreneurship education.
Over the course of five days, participants will engage in a comprehensive programme combining workshops, institutional visits, and collaborative sessions. The agenda includes training on innovative approaches such as ETHAZI challenges and Work-Based Learning (WBL), as well as presentations of entrepreneurship education programmes developed in the Basque Country.
A key highlight of the visit is the opportunity to explore Bilbao’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, widely recognised for its transformation into a hub of innovation and urban regeneration. Participants will take part in study visits to leading institutions, including the B Accelerator Tower (BAT), the 42 Urduliz programming campus, and the University of Deusto Business Incubator (DeustoKabi), gaining first-hand insight into how education, technology, and business intersect to foster entrepreneurial skills.
The programme also includes meetings with public institutions such as Lan Ekintza Bilbao, which supports local entrepreneurship and employment, as well as collaborative sessions focused on the progress and future development of the PULSE project and its training materials.
Beyond the academic and professional activities, the event offers participants the opportunity to experience Bilbao’s cultural and social environment. Known for its successful transformation from an industrial centre into a vibrant city of culture, gastronomy, and innovation, Bilbao provides a unique context for reflection and learning.
The PULSE project, co-funded by the European Union, aims to enhance entrepreneurial competences in VET by promoting innovative, practice-oriented learning strategies and strengthening collaboration between education providers and real-world ecosystems.
This study visit represents a significant step forward in achieving these goals, reinforcing international partnerships and contributing to the modernisation of vocational education.
