IMSET hosts key regional event to foster entrepreneurial education in North Africa

A multi-stakeholder event on youth, innovation and TVET aimed at strengthening Tunisia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem will take place this Friday at Hotel Carlton

Tunis, 11 April 2025 – IMSET, private vocational school based in Tunis, is organising a high-level Multi-Stakeholder event under the PULSE – Promoting Unique Learning Strategies in Entrepreneurship project, co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+. The event “Strengthening Tunisia’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem through TVET” marks the first public milestone of the three-year initiative and brings together key players from government, vocational education, industry, and entrepreneurship to discuss how to align Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with the needs of the labor market.

The gathering, which will be held on Friday at Hotel Carlton, Tunis, comes as part of the PULSE project’s Kick-Off Meeting attended by all project partners from Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Spain, Greece, and France. The event aims to foster dialogue across sectors and co-create practical strategies to empower youth through entrepreneurial education and innovation.

About the Event

The event will explore:

  • Key policies and system players
  • The Role of TVET in driving Entrepreneurial Skills
  • Policy and Funding Environment
  • Skills, Mindsets & Career Readiness
  • Training Models & Innovative Methodologies

The agenda features roundtable discussions, stakeholder presentations, and contributions from public institutions, education leaders, entrepreneurs and innovation experts.

Why It Matters

Tunisia, like many countries in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, faces high youth unemployment and persistent skills mismatches. The PULSE project tackles this head-on by enhancing VET systems with modern, entrepreneurial learning strategies adapted from successful European models. Through cross-border collaboration, curriculum reform, and the creation of SmartLabs in VET centers, PULSE aims to give students the tools they need to turn ideas into value—financial, cultural, or social.

This event is one of the activties to be held across the region, and is expected to generate policy recommendations and stronger partnerships between TVET institutions and the private sector.
