PULSE Project Kicks Off to Boost Entrepreneurship, vocational Training and Youth Employability in North Africa

January 2025. — With the goal of strengthening Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems and addressing youth unemployment in North Africa, the PULSE project has officially been launched. PULSE is an ambitious Capacity Building initiative that brings together institutions from Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Greece, and Spain to empower young people through innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The project is led by Mundus, a non-profit organisation from Spain.

Empowering Educators, Inspiring Youth

PULSE aims to equip VET educators with both the technical and soft skills necessary to prepare young people for the demands of today’s labor market. By focusing on entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation, the project seeks to build the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers across the region.

Through capacity-building activities, curriculum enhancement, and the creation of SmartLabs within VET institutions, PULSE is paving the way for a new learning ecosystem that connects education with employability and fosters a culture of creativity and problem-solving.

A Strong International Partnership

The PULSE consortium includes 10 partner organizations from six countries.

Online Kick-Off Meeting

The project officially started with a two-day online kick-off meeting, where partners gathered to present PULSE’s main objectives and workflow, discuss the current state of youth unemployment in North Africa, and outline the roadmap for each Work Package.

The event also included informal networking activities that allowed participants to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration among organizations from both sides of the Mediterranean.

A Shared Commitment to Change

PULSE represents a strong commitment to empowering youth and enhancing VET systems through international cooperation between Europe and North Africa.

“We believe that education and innovation are the cornerstones of a better future for young people, helping them build sustainable careers and inclusive societies,” said the project coordination team.
